Welcome and thank you for visiting my website

I realise this is an unusual hobby, but I enjoy owning a tangible piece of sporting history. I'm probably one of a small handful of serious baseball card collectors in England, but feel part of the wider global collecting community through collecting sites like Net 54, PSA and the Freedom Card Boards.

Please click on the links on this page to explore all the cards I have in each set. My aims are to expand all of these sets in the future, although I'm not sure it will ever be possible to complete the t206 set given the price of some of the cards in this set! At my current collecting rate (now less than one card per week) this set will take 10 years to collect (minus the big four - Wagner, Plank, Doyle & Magie). Roll on December 2016-ish....

My collection is fairly narrow, focusing on four sets:

  • 1909-1911 t206 White Border - (114/524 or 21.76%) - 4 incoming
  • 2004 Prime Cuts I - (30 cards) - 1 incoming
  • 2004 Prime Cuts I - MLB Icons Signature Prime - (45/51 or 88.23%) - 0 incoming
  • 2005 Fleer Flair Significant Signings - (66/102) - 0 incoming

I am now getting close to completion of the Prime Cuts I MLB Icons Signature Prime set. This set has a total of 67 cards but 16 of these are 1/1's of some of the greatest players in MLB history like Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Ott, Robinson, Williams and Grove. I have only seen one of these 1/1's in the 3 years I have been collecting the set and it is out of my budget as I suspect would be the others. Hence, completion of this set for me is a target of 51 - I now have 6 to find with the most difficultly likely to include Bench, Seaver and Snider. The search is on!

There are also a few other links to other sets I collect and another to all of the singles in my collection (this includes baseball and football cards).

I plan to keep this site updated as often as I add a card. Oh and I follow the Seattle Mariners, Oakland Raiders (don't ask), Liverpool FC, England's Cricket Team.

THANK YOU for the kind comments in my Guestbook. I am intending to add a links page in the near future so if you have a site of your own that you would like to be included here please contact me via the link below with details. Ditto if you have any cards that may help fill some of my incomplete sets.

New Additions to my collection

Below are some scans of the more recent additions to my collection. I have decided in 2009 to focus more on quality rather than quantity.
